History

TorchBearers was founded in 2003 by Akron area residents Scott Read and Jefferson Satterfield. The organization was founded to strengthen the connection between Akron area non-profits and young people and to further efforts to attract and retain young people to Greater Akron. The organization exists as a bridge connecting senior established leadership to the community leaders of the future.
