This bimonthly event provides an opportunity for a small group discussion between TorchBearers and a local business or community leader. Successful business owners, CEOs, and directors of non-profit organizations have spoken at these functions in the past, discussing leadership, regionalism, and other topical issues.
Through structured training and informal opportunities to listen to speakers, this program aids members in learning about service, leadership, and board participation in the non-profit field. The programs intent is to get each TorchBearer ready to ably serve a local non-profit in a leadership role.
Hosted events where future community leaders have the opportunity to meet and form friendships with established leaders. Past events have been co-hosted by the Akron General Medical Center, the American Red Cross and Summa Health System.
